Fall | 2017
Part of a series of performances
questioning the choreographies that we decide to use and
follow when we demonstrate in public. Fall is a
performance with "failed flags" that took place in New
York. The flags, made from pieces of translucent yellow
vinyl, are carried in a gesture that is closer to the
satire of a conquest or a march with militaristic
connotations than to a protest. The title of the work,
Fall, is related to the fall of the vinyl on the
flagpole, the idea of failure, the autumn, and the yellow
color of the falling leaves. The action was carried out
for several consecutive days in different parts of the
city.
